Today, the low cost of data has provided employers with increased access to criminal histories and other background data concerning prospective clients. At the same time, shoddy investigations by background checks has led to widespread errors in these reports. In this session Ian Lyngklip will talk about common sources of background checks for employers, and how these reports are misused in the employment screening process and the remedies available to employees for errors in those reports and misuse of this data.
